things successful people never say

{from yahoo small business advisor, Entrepreneur section, You’ll Never Hear Successful People Say These 15 Things by Sujan Patel}
Our language says a lot about our state of mind; are we on track for success? are we feeling motivated? are we willing to do what it takes? All of these questions get answered in the way we express ourselves. Successful people know this; they are conscious of  how they speak, what they say and the impact their words have on everything. Words have power. They can limit or they can ignite. Your words can make the difference between winning or losing. That’s good news {if used wisely}.

Herewith, 12 things successful people never say:

1. We can’t do that. actually everything is possible all the time {that’s the mindset you maintain to get and stay ahead}.

2. I don’t know how. this answer is not acceptable in business; figure out how or find someone who can do it but do not come to a grinding halt.

3. I don’t know what that is. much like #2, a simple “but I’ll find out” can make all the difference.

4. I did everything on my own. never say that unless it is absolutely true; always be mindful of all the things and people that help you make it happen.

5. That’s too early. nope, there is no such thing when it comes to networking or when you are granted an important meeting.

6. That’s too late. see #5

7. It’s too bad we couldn’t work together. don’t use this sentence unless it is really true and in that case, you should make something work because good people are hard to find.

8. Let’s catch up sometime. if you actually want to catch up with the person you will set a date. period.

9. I’m sorry, I’m too busy. who isn’t busy? if it matters – just do what it takes. if it doesn’t – say a polite no and move on.

10. I never read books. 63% of wealthy people read non-fiction books vs. 5% of poor people {I’m sure there’s more to that statistic but the difference is too staggering to ignore; consider it}.

11. I’m not good enough. that is only true if you want it to be, otherwise you can decide to have a high sense of self worth and live accordingly.

12. Time off is for suckers. as a wellness maven, I have to tell you that not resting and not having fun is just silly. if you are not happy and healthy than no amount of success will be worth it. priorities.
