Enthusiasm is more important than innate ability, it turns out, because the single most important element in developing an expertise is your willingness to practice.

the heart + soul of a comeback

…if we are feeling sorry for ourselves, we cannot be an agent of change for others. —Tim Storey

As the end of a quarter draws near, I like to renew my motivation + my commitment to my goals; sometimes I find what I’m looking for in a book or a check-in with one of my mentors but today it was in this video. One of Oprah’s Super Soul Sessions had the right combination of heart, empowerment + unblocking of stagnant energy as they use it as a gallery for marketing and business. I hope you enjoy Tim Storey’s talk as much as I did.

Remember you are the only person that can set you free.

Mad Love,
Alicia.

1. Tony Robbins x Marie Forleo

If you haven’t seen Tony Robbins’ documentary “I Am Not Your Guru” on Netflix {I talked about it in my last post here}, you should definitely watch the film before you watch this amazing episode of MarieTV. Marie Forleo asks Tony a lot of the questions that dig deeper into his work + gets to the useful grit for anyone with heart strong ambition + big dreams.

2. the power of resilience

Harvard Business Review is one of my favourite business journals to read; they put a lot of research + insight in their articles. The reader is always left with clear guidelines + comprehension of the subject matter. As the business world catches up to the holistic wellness world, experts are correlating emotional wellbeing + fitness to success + longevity. I found an old article from a 2002 edition that speaks to the power of resilience; it’s an important read for anyone trying to heal + grow + achieve at the same time. we could all use a bit more.

3. Rich Roll x Gary Vaynerchuck

The Rich Roll Podcast is ons of my favourites. Rich does a really great job of getting the best from his guests + giving the listener so much to apply to their own lives + goals. If you haven’t been introduced to Gary Vaynerchuck, his books or his work, this may be a great place to start. I cannot articulate how special Gary is for the world of entrepreneurship + business. He is a lighthouse for anyone that wants to step up to their potential.

By nature, I am inspired by images and other people. I love a well curated blog, a thoughtful post and perfectly photographed pretty things. I am interested in how other people look at the world; I’m curious about what they see, how they interpret things and how they share it with the world. I’ve put together a list of my favourite blogs for you, they range from pure fashion to how to lasting wellness and a few things in between. All are beautiful.
